Co-Founder & CEO

Maggie is a public speaker, mentor, and the Chief Executive Officer of One Community Social Services. She has received both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Global Affairs at George Mason University with honors including Magna cum Laude and the Global Affairs Certificate of Merit for her notable contributions. Maggie combines her global education with over a decade of volunteerism and her experience as a project manager in the technology industry to bring a well-rounded leadership approach to OCSS with a focus on quality and execution.

Co-founder, Director of Programs

Yaqub is a community leader, entrepreneur, and advocate. He is the 2022 recipient of the Prince William County Human Rights Award for his leadership in the response to the Afghan refugee crisis. For over two decades Yaqub has volunteered and held leadership roles within Prince William County and the state of Virginia. Yaqub has especially succeeded in bringing together people from various backgrounds including those of different faiths, ethnicities, and social classes in his time as Chairman of the Board of the Muslim Association of Virginia (MAV).

Co-Founder, Volunteer Director

Yasmeen is a community builder and advocate for minority communities in Northern Virginia. She is the lead for all volunteer-based operations at One Community Social Services. Yasmeen obtained a Bachelor of Arts from George Washington University where she simultaneously was coordinating outreach and volunteer opportunities for several Northern Virginia nonprofit organizations aiding in the Afghan refugee crisis under Operations Allies Welcome. Yasmeen specialized in fostering volunteer opportunities that catered to programs for refugee children under the ages of 12 as an assistant educator at refugee processing sites. She has a passion for equipping children with the social and educational tools necessary to flourish in American society. As the Volunteer Director of One Community Social Services, Yasmeen will oversee and manage all volunteer opportunities and volunteer bases to streamline the flow of operations within the organization.
